With Coronavirus (COVID-19) affecting all aspects of our lives and business conduct and performance, KNITS is constantly monitoring this pandemic via the Department of Health (http://www.health.gov.za/index.php/outbreaks/145-corona-virus-outbreak/465-corona-virus-outbreak), the World Health Organisation (https://covid19.who.int/) and the Department of Labour (http://www.labour.gov.za/department-of-employment-and-labour-unveil-guidelines-to-deal-with-covid-19-at-workplaces) and implementing all the necessary precautions required for health and safety of our employees, clients and stakeholders.
In compliance with the back to work readiness programme, we have since:
- Completed a Managing Infectious Diseases in the Workplace- Covid-19 Training (All Employees and Management)
- Appointed COVID-19 Task Team
- Developed COVID-19 Health and Safety Policies, Plans, Procedures and constant Safety Toolbox Talks
- Plugged Covid-19 Awareness posters throughout the entire office
- Developed COVID-19 Risk Assessment
- Implemented COVID-19 Risk Control Measures and Exposure Management Procedures
- Employees Temperature Scanning done and recorded twice a day
- Complete Employees Screening Form once a week
- Hand Sanitizing Protocols
- Issued cloth masks to all employees as per government regulations
- Social Distancing Measures
- Visitors Protocol
- All visitors permitted on appointment basis
- Sanitise at the entrance
- Complete Visitors Register and Temperature Scanning
- Complete Visitor’s Screening Form
